Fobes-Amos Cemetery, Preston, Connecticut

South of route 165 just west of Preston City, at the edge of the swamp. It was set aside in 1747 by Matthias Button to the Fobes, Amos and Tracy heirs. The cemetery is set back from the road behind three houses. The address of the eastern most house was #346. The cemetery is at the edge of the field straight behind the middle house. We had to walk through a field of manure to get to the cemetery. It was surrounded by tall brush and difficult to see. The stones are in very bad shape, most can no longer be read.

The photos are arranged alphabetically by last name. Clicking on a thumbnail or the right pointing arrow will take you to the actual photo of the stone. If you click on the name on the photo that will take you to the person's page. Except if the stone only has a last name, since several people are associated with it there is no way to determine which person to go to.

Clicking on the square next to the right pointing arrow at the top of the photo will allow you to look at each of the photos in a slide show. This feature only works if you are connected to the internet.
