Osage Cemetery

The Cemetery is on Austin Lake Road just off State Route 242 West of Route 152 junction between Knoxville and Richmond. It is located behind the church.

The area was originally called Bowling Green and the church was Good Hope Lutheran Church. The area was also known as Osage at Bowling Green. The cemetery has apparently been known by various names. The Jefferson County Genealogical Society website says the church there was once called Mount Hope. "Jefferson County Tombstone Inscription" by Powell calls the cemetery Osage Church Cemetery. When Kay VanLerberg visited there the church was Osage Community Church and her research calls it Osage Community Church Cemetery. Apparently it is now known as Osage Cemetery.

The photos are arranged alphabetically by last name. Clicking on a thumbnail or the right pointing arrow will take you to the actual photo of the stone. If you click on the name on the photo that will take you to the person's page. Except if the stone only has a last name, since several people are associated with it there is no way to determine which person to go to.

Clicking on the square next to the right pointing arrow at the top of the photo will allow you to look at each of the photos in a slide show. This feature only works if you are connected to the internet.
