Marie-Marthe Destroismaisons-Picard1
F
Father | Charles Destroismaisons2 |
Mother | Madeleine Blanchet2 d. before 7 Nov 1734 |
Birth-note | The Drouin marriages show her as a daughter of Françoise Destroismaisons-Picard and Marie-Françoise Dagneau. It references her marriage contract by Notary Michon. However, when checking Michon's contracts it shows her as daughter of Charles Destroismaisons and Madeleine Blanchet. She is not shown as a daughter of either couple in Jetté. However, the contract names the witnesses. It shows witnesses as her brother, Augustin and sister, Marguerite who are shown in Jetté as children of Charles and Madeleine. Another witness is her uncle, François Destroismaisons who is her father in the Drouin marriages. I believe the evidence at this point leans toward her parents being Charles and Madeleine. |
Marriage Contract | A contract for the marriage of Marie-Marthe and Louis Pelletier was signed on 7 November 1734 before Notary Abel Michon. The witnesses were his brother, Pierre Pelletier, his brother-in-laws, Jacques Destroismaisons, Joseph Lavergne and Pierre Morin, her father, her brother, Augustin Destroismaisons and sisters, Marguerite and Thérèse Destroismaisons, her uncle François Destroismaisons and Jean-Marie Gagné.1,2 |
