MarriageBarbe Broust married Jean Poisson Senior on 3 April 1611 at Saint-Jean, Perche Province, France.2,1,5,6
Marriage*Another source says Barbe Broust married Jean Poisson Senior on 23 April 1611 at Saint-Jean, Mortagne, Mortagne District, Chartres Bishopric, Perche Province, (Orne Department), France.7,4
Death*Barbe Broust died in September 1654 (date based on burial.)
Burial*She was buried on 9 September 1654 at Saint-Jean, Mortagne, Mortagne District, Perche Province, France, Orne Department.7,4
Burial-note* According to French Canadian Ancestors vol 6 "One should not confuse Jean Poisson with another Jean Poisson buried at Mortagne on 22 Jun 1650 and whose widow was buried in the same spot on 9 Sep 1654. On this subject refer to the monograph of Father Archange Godbout publised in the MSGCF, volume VIII page 213 to 222" I could not find MSCGF defined in this volume but in Jetté MSCGF is Mémoirés de la Société généalogique canadienne française. It seems strange since Jetté consulted this same source and references the same volume but he still shows Jean as the Jean who was buried at Mortange in 1650. Both of these references were publised in 1983. However, a later source Before the King's Daughter's notes that since Jetté cited this article, that it seems that this has been proven not to be true.8,9,7
